We’re strengthening your email protection with DMARC Reporting

We’re pleased to announce that SMX has enabled DMARC Reporting from our email gateways. This enhancement is designed to give you better visibility into how your domains are being used, helping you protect your brand, your customers, and your teams from phishing and spoofing attacks.

What it means if you already use DMARC

If you have DMARC enabled on your domains, you will now begin to see additional reporting signals in your DMARC reporting tools as a result of this change.

Key changes you’ll notice:
  • More reports: Expect to see a higher number of daily DMARC RUA (aggregate) reports. (Note: RUF reports are not included.)
  • Greater visibility into the authentication status of emails sent using your domains.
  • Stronger insights to help you refine your DMARC policy and move toward enforcement with confidence.
  • New reporting source: SMX MTA reports will originate from IP address 10.51.40.212, which was not previously present in reporting data.

This change won’t impact the delivery of your email. Instead, it will enhance the quality and completeness of the data you already rely on.

Benefits:

🔎 Ability to identify and deploy missing SPF records or configure missing DKIM where needed.

🔐 Confidence to move toward DMARC enforcement policies (quarantine/reject) based on stronger, more complete reporting.

✅ Greater assurance that your email is being handled as expected across the internet.

For customers without DMARC in place (or only in reporting mode)

If you haven’t yet enabled DMARC or are still operating in “monitor only” mode, this is the perfect opportunity to start. DMARC is one of the most effective tools available to protect your brand and your business from email-based threats.

Key benefits of DMARC Reporting:
  • Protect your brand reputation – Stop bad actors from impersonating your domains in phishing campaigns.
  • Safeguard your customers and employees – Reduce the risk of them being tricked by fraudulent emails.
  • Gain visibility – Understand who is sending on behalf of your domain (legitimate and illegitimate).
  • Enable stronger security – Move toward enforcement policies (quarantine/reject) with confidence, knowing the impact before you make changes.

By enabling DMARC and taking advantage of reporting, you’re taking a proactive step toward protecting both your organisation and everyone who interacts with your brand.
