SMX Ltd has created this privacy statement in order to demonstrate our commitment to privacy. The following discloses our information gathering and usage practices for this website and our services in general. Any updates or amendments to this policy will be made here and announced via email to users' email accounts.

General usage:

When you are accessing the SMX website, we collect information in log files to keep track of how many people have accessed the site, what they completed whilst on the site and what errors occured. We do not collect any personal information about you or your business. All customer data is stored in an encrypted format in a database or file.

Customers:

We only collect the information that you provide at the time of signup. We use this information to identify you and provide billing and support services. We record all login and mail traffic that passes through our platform. This is for security purposes and for the purpose of analysing what pages are being used.

Payments:

All payments to SMX Ltd are made securely online via credit card or offline via Cheque or Direct Credit. After you have made a credit card payment, we keep your billing address in our secure database to facilitate future payments. We do not keep any record of your credit card number on our servers unless you authorise us to bill you automatically each month. In this case, your credit card information is encrypted and stored in our secure database.

Non-disclosure:

SMX Ltd will not release any information about our clients to third parties without the client's explicit consent, except as required for compliance under New Zealand law. SMX does not give out its clients' email addresses or send spam. SMX may occasionally send important announcements regarding SMX or its services to its clients if they have not opted out of this notification service.

Confidentiality:

SMX staff will not examine the content of your incoming or outgoing email messages without your explicit consent. The exception to this rule is the case where the New Zealand Department of Internal Affairs deems a client to be in possible violation of New Zealand law. SMX management may deem it necessary to stop the sending of spam, Unsolicited Email, excessive utilization of system resources, or other violations of SMX's systems. Regardless, the contents of your email messages will be kept in the strictest confidentiality that can be afforded by compliance with New Zealand law.
